The large pumpkin body is divided into broad curved sections, so kids can use several shades of orange or invent a rainbow pumpkin. A leafy roof spreads across the top beneath a tall curled stem. Smaller spaces include the leaf veins, closed eyes, round cheeks, circular doorway, and short perch. Children can color the doorway dark for contrast or match it to the pumpkin sections around it.

Invite your child to imagine what kind of bird might use the house, then tell a short story about its visit. For a simple counting activity, count the pumpkin sections or the large leaves across the roof. You can also use the print this page link for a paper version. The online game works on phones, tablets, and computers, needs no account, and uploads nothing.
